Dr Andre Oboler is CEO of “Zionism on the Web” and a leading expert in online antisemitism and internet based public diplomacy.
He is a commentator on technology, Israel, and Jewish Affairs. He received his PhD in computer science from Lancaster University, UK and his prior degrees from Monash University, Australia.
In the UK Andre served as a member of the Board of Deputies of British Jews and as National Secretary for the Union of Jewish Students. He has been actively involved in the politics of higher education and has served as an officer of the National Postgraduate Committee of the UK (the NPC) as well as representing students on the Board of Directors of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
Andre is currently a Legacy Heritage Fellow at NGO Monitor in Jerusalem, a postdoctoral fellow in Political Science at Bar-Ilan University, Israel, and a projects officer of the NPC with a mandate to improve relations between British, Israeli and Palestinian students.
